Fantastic Four Reboot als Found Footage Film

Das kommende Fantastic Four Reboot, welches planmäßig übrigens am 18.06.2015 in unseren Kinos starten soll, wird wohl ein Found Footage Film werden. So lies es zumindest Emma Watts, Produktions-Chefin bei 20th Century Fox, in einem Interview mit The Hollywood Reporter verlauten.

Leider wird das Fantastic Four nun doch nicht im Found Footage Stil gedreht.

Den Namen Josh Trank kennen viele vor Allem durch den Found Footage Film Chronicle – Wozu bist Du fähig in dem er Regie führte. Nun wurde ihm die Möglichkeit gegeben sich an Marvels Fantastic Four auszutoben und wenn es tatsächlich so kommen wird, wie Emma Watts im Interview mit The Hollywood Reporter angegeben hat, dann dürfen wir uns im kommenden Jahr mal über ein etwas anderes Reboot freuen.

Auch der Cast scheint in Bezug auf die Hauptpersonen schon festzustehen:

  • Miles Teller (Project X) – Reed Richards aka. Mr. Fantastic
  • Kate Mara (American Horror Story) – Sue Storm / Die Unsichtbare
  • Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle) – Johnny Storm / Johnny die Fackel
  • Jamie Bell (Snowpiercer) – Ben Grimm / Das Ding

Um das Drehbuch wird sich unter Anderem Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Zukunft ist Vergangenheit) kümmern, der gleichzeitig auch als Produzent tätig ist.

Auf die Frage ob sich die Found Footage Version der Fantastic Four denn genauso „anfühlen“ würde wie Chronicle antwortete Watts:

It’s Josh, so it can’t not have that feel. That’s his talent, that’s what he does, and that’s what excites him about it.

Ich war eh schon auf das Reboot gespannt und bin es jetzt noch mehr. Hoffen wir mal, dass der Film auch wirklich im Found Footage Stil gedreht wird. Beim Amityville-Reboot und dem kommenden Freitag der 13. wurden Pläne in dieser Richtung ja leider wieder verworfen.
